About OctosX
Thermal risk intelligence, made in Canada — built on 10 years of factory floor experience.
We help manufacturers stop electrical fires before they start — with continuous thermal monitoring of the infrastructure that runs their plant.
Our Story
From Taiwan's factory floors to Canada's manufacturing sector.
OctosX was founded in 2026 in Langley, British Columbia — but our platform's roots go back a decade earlier, to the industrial integration work our founders were doing across Taiwan's manufacturing sector. Serving automotive, electronics, and chemical manufacturers, they built, deployed, and refined every solution that OctosX now brings to Canada.
The trigger for OctosX Canada was a pattern the founders kept seeing: North American manufacturers — particularly mid-market plants in BC and Alberta — were running the same risks that their Taiwan counterparts had already solved. MCC overheating events going undetected. Energy waste invisible in monthly utility bills. Maintenance managed by calendar instead of condition. Compliance documentation that existed only when an auditor asked for it.
We established OctosX Inc. in Canada to bring that decade of platform maturity to North American plants — with Canadian data residency, Canadian compliance from day one, and regional support based in British Columbia. Not a startup building on theory. A proven platform building a new market.
How We Work
Three principles. No exceptions.
Heritage
Every line of code traces to a real factory failure we've solved before. Our thermal detection logic was written after an MCC fire, not before. Our baseline algorithms were calibrated on real motors running real loads. We don't build for hypothetical use cases.
Pragmatism
We don't sell hype. We sell prevention you can measure in dollars. If a feature doesn't reduce a specific, quantifiable risk for a manufacturer, it doesn't ship. Our customers are plant managers and CFOs — they evaluate everything in terms of downtime avoided, fires prevented, and dollars saved.
Compliance-First
SOC 2, GDPR, and PIPEDA from day one — not a retrofit. We chose AWS Canada Central before we wrote the first line of cloud code. Every audit log is immutable before the first customer signs. Security architecture is not a feature; it's the foundation.
Leadership
Built by people who have been on the plant floor.
Profiles will be published at launch. Our team brings backgrounds in industrial automation, IoT platform engineering, enterprise security, and Canadian manufacturing operations.
Led platform architecture and deployment operations across 40+ Taiwanese manufacturing sites. Langley, BC.
Designed the edge-to-cloud data architecture. Former industrial software engineer, semiconductor & electronics manufacturing.
Built channel programmes for industrial software vendors across Western Canada. Focused on SI partner enablement.
Former plant operations manager. Brings the plant floor perspective to onboarding, training, and deployment success.
Full team profiles and photos published at Q4 2026 launch.
Standards & Certifications
Compliance isn't a product feature. It's the architecture.
Careers
We're hiring in BC.
We're building a small, high-calibre team in British Columbia. Roles open in field engineering (sensor installation & commissioning), technical support, and industrial sales.
We want people who have been on a plant floor, who understand why manufacturers are risk-averse, and who can explain a thermal anomaly to a maintenance supervisor and a board member in the same week.
