About OctosX
Factory safety monitoring for Canadian plants.
OctosX brings four areas of factory safety onto one platform: Thermal Risk, Air & Environment, Equipment Health and Visual Alerts. Thermal Risk builds on Thermalpas contact sensors, in service in Taiwanese plants for more than ten years.
Our story
From Taiwan's factory floors to Canada's manufacturing sector.
OctosX was founded in 2026 in Langley, British Columbia. Our founders spent the decade before that on industrial integration work across Taiwan's manufacturing sector, serving automotive, electronics and chemical manufacturers.
In Taiwan, Thermalpas contact sensors have been in service for more than ten years in power plants, fabs and transit systems — see the field deployments. Meanwhile, mid-market plants in BC and Alberta were still checking the same equipment with periodic thermal scans, and MCC overheating went unnoticed between rounds.
We established OctosX to bring that sensor to Canadian plants, paired with the OctosX Platform, designed to store and process data in Canada, and support based in British Columbia.
Heat in a closed panel is not the only thing that goes unseen between rounds. OctosX is now organized around four areas of factory safety; the field record on this site comes from the first of them, Thermal Risk.

Four areas, one platform.
Each area has its own page. All four share one platform, one alert path and one record. How each one connects to your site is scoped per project.

Principles
How we build.
- 01
Start from real failures
Our thermal detection logic traces back to real factory failures. The rules were written in response to an MCC fire, and baselines were calibrated on real equipment under real loads.
- 02
Ship what plants use
If a feature does not reduce a specific risk for a plant, it does not ship. Plant managers judge us on what changes on the floor.
- 03
Privacy and security from day one
We chose AWS Canada Central before we wrote the first line of cloud code, and designed the platform to store and process data in Canada.

Careers
We're hiring in BC.
We are building a small team in British Columbia. Roles are opening in field engineering (sensor installation and commissioning), technical support and industrial sales.
We want people who have been on a plant floor, understand why manufacturers are careful with change, and can explain an alert to a maintenance supervisor and a board member in the same week.
See it on your own equipment.
Tell us about your plant. We will tell you where OctosX fits, and where it does not.
