How an OctosX engagement is scoped.

Every engagement is configured to the plant: which areas are in scope, the equipment monitored, the systems connected and the people supported. This page explains what goes into a scope, so your quote request can start from the right place.

Three parts in every engagement.

Each part is scoped to your site and quoted together.

The three parts of an OctosX engagement
PartWhat it coversWhat shapes the scope
Setup one-time Site survey and sensor placement design; industrial PC and gateway configuration; network integration; on-site commissioning; operator and administrator training. Number of monitored points, commissioning days on site, sensor variety, the IP rating and temperature range at each monitoring point, and site access.
Subscription annual Access to the OctosX Platform: dashboards, the alert and notification engine, data retention and audit logs, software updates and security patches, and standard support. Monitoring endpoints per site, number of sites and users, alert-escalation paths and reporting configuration.
Hardware one-time purchase Thermalpas sensors, industrial PCs and edge gateways, and cabling and mounting accessories, matched to the IP rating and temperature range at each monitoring point. Sensor types and count, environmental rating and any high-temperature variants.

What changes the scope.

  • Monitored points

How many busbars, breakers, lugs and terminations are fitted with sensors.

  • Number of sites

One site or several, and whether they share one account and a standard rollout.

  • Environment

IP rating and temperature range at each monitoring point.

  • Delivery route

Direct with OctosX, or through a system integrator who may bundle OctosX into a single contract.

Typical starting points.

  1. Single line or room

One production line or one critical electrical room, monitored end to end before you extend it to the rest of the site.

  2. Full site

All critical electrical equipment across one plant, monitored continuously.

  3. Multi-site

A standard deployment across several facilities, managed from one account.

Estimate a Thermal Risk scope.

Count the electrical assets in your plant and see an indicative range of monitoring points, based on our standard installation templates. The result carries into your quote request.

This estimator covers Thermal Risk only. Air & Environment, Equipment Health and Visual Alerts are scoped per project.
