The problem
Carrefour Taiwan runs dozens of hypermarkets across the country. HVAC accounts for 60–70% of the energy bill at every store, and an inaccurate supply/return ΔT can double consumption unnoticed. Until 2017, every store's HVAC was tuned by hand by a local technician — no central visibility, no real way to know if a single store was wasting energy.

What was installed
Thermalpas pipe-clamp sensors (L/LS/LR series, ±1°C) were installed on the chiller supply and return lines at every store, with the data flowing to a central dashboard. Operations could see which stores were well tuned and which were overworking, and per-store BTU load was used to run chillers by occupancy and weather rather than a thermostat dial.
The outcome
Since March 2017 the system has run at scale across Carrefour Taiwan's 60+ stores, and the customer describes it as a foundation of its energy-management strategy. Reported savings are $80–150K per store per year, $7M+ a year in total.
